Surroundings
Wildbach Camping is located in Hellenthal – the gateway to Eifel National Park – and is the ideal starting point for hikes, bike tours and nature experiences. The region around our campsite is one of the most diverse landscapes in the Eifel: dense forests, quiet valleys, clear streams and wide ridges shape the scenery.
Hiking enthusiasts start directly from the site on well-marked trails and trekking routes. Particularly popular is the short Schmitzberg tour to our local mountain with its clearings – perfect for arriving and catching your breath.
Cyclists and gravel fans also get their money's worth. Selected cycling and gravel routes are available via Komoot – ideal for relaxed pleasure rides as well as sporty tours.
Further highlights of the Eifel await nearby, including the High Fens Nature Park with its unique moorland and the historic old town of Monschau.
Family tip: The Hellenthal Wildlife Park with its bird of prey station is an exciting destination for young and old – ideal for half a day or a full day in nature.
